AOC and Ted Cruz agree?
It was no surprise that when the populist right-leaning individual and the socialist left-leaning individual were in agreement; something must have gone really wrong. For the purpose of this blog post, I will not be describing what occurred with the stock market that day as that is not the purpose I want to serve making this post nor am I am expert on the topic.
For some background:
Yes, there seems to have been corruption with the Robinhood app in which they began limiting the amount of trades individuals could make in stock such as AMC and Game Stop. My purpose for pointing this out is to show that no matter how polarized our political parties may seem, there is still some common ground among us, and at the end of the day, we do seem to (overall) hold the same morals and goals for ourselves, our neighbors, and our country.
Hey Daniela I really enjoyed your post! I could not believe what was going on with Robinhood and GME stock. I was constantly looking for updates and trying to see what would happen next and I did not think in a million years I would see an agreement between AOC and Ted Cruz😂. And I like the angle you took for this post because though it was just a small interaction and not a super partisan issue it was refreshing to see two politicians from opposite parties find common ground. Who knows maybe this will lead to further cooperation!
