Biden Reverses Trump's transgender military ban
This reversal has been widely expected and anticipated ever since Biden began running for office. The Biden administration pledged to put military readiness above political expediency by restoring inclusive policy for transgender troops." Those who support this decision claim that it is a huge victory in terms of the LBGTQ+ community and it is a win overall in Biden's first few days in office. Those in opposition to this decision, however, do not view this as such a victory. The disparagement of the decision is not necessarily based on lack of support for LGBTQ rights or transgender rights, but rather poses questions surrounding how much more medical funding will be needed to be allocated for the military for various hormones, medications, or other requirements needed by these members. If one is physically and mentally willing and wanting to serve for one's nation, I feel as though it should be respected and accepted.
Regardless of your view and your reason for believing what you do, this was a big step for the Biden administration and it is interesting to see how things will play out during the rest of his term.

I agree with this being a huge step for the Biden admin. One thing he pledged to do it office was his stance on equality for all parties in many different ways. If someone is apart of LBGTQ+ community and the have the will and passion to serve their country then they should have the right as a US citizen. The military budget in this country is already at an outrageous amount it should be too much of work to reallocate some fund to ensure their community has the medical resources needed in order to succeed and fight for their county. Great topic and post.
